Word Set 1: charred, nomination, perimeter

The nomination meant one thing. She’d have to walk the full Ring of Forgiveness perimeter without becoming a charred husk of a human being. It was no easy task. Only one had come out unscathed before. Everyone else who had entered were either permanently injured or dead. But it was the only way to redeem her name. If she turned down the opportunity, she would forever be a pariah in her village. When the entry clock dinged for her to enter, she took a deep breath, stepped inside, and was immediately incinerated. The gods found her guilty of all crimes.
